2009 Young Investigator Travel Award Recipients
To stimulate research careers in the field of schizophrenia and provide an educational opportunity for young scientists, the Congress held a competition for Young Investigator Travel Awards. Interested applicants in both basic and clinical areas were encouraged to apply. The award is intended to attract bright, young scientists to the field of schizophreniaresearch and to this meeting. The contribution of young thinkers to scientific inquiry in any discipline is critical. Of the 129 applicants for the 2009 Young Investigator Travel Award, 30 investigators were selected by the Review Committee as the best of the best. All applications were commendable and many were superior.
This program is made possible by a generous grant from the
National Institute of Mental Health.
