Kayaking and Eco-Tours

For guests who want to experience a taste of old Florida’s natural preserves, Adventure Experiences’ interpretive eco-tours offer guided canoe or kayak tours of Shingle Creek, the Headwaters to the Florida Everglades. Guests can learn about the history of Shingle Creek and observe the native species such as alligators, bald eagles, osprey and barred owls in their natural habitat. Click for more information.

Fly Fishing

Fly fishing excursions take place on the 40-acre Shingle Pond (parallel to Shingle Creek), which sits on the most remote section of Grande Lakes. Here, guests board Hyde Drift boats alongside a guide team and fish the private waters of Shingle Pond, where fly fishing enthusiasts have the chance to reel in trophy Largemouth Bass. Guests also have an opportunity to spin or fly fish two miles of Shingle Creek on the Headwaters to the Everglades. Bok Tower Gardens, a “must see Florida attraction” centrally located between Tampa and Orlando among rolling hills of citrus! Dinosaur World

Dinosaur World is where visitors can see up close and life size the amazing creatures that once ruled the Earth. Life sized models of dinosaurs welcome families and classes to learn, have fun, or just enjoy a quiet encounter with the lifelike animals. The dinosaur models, up to eighty feet in length and based on the latest scientific discoveries, are made of fiberglass, steel, and concrete. Titanic: The Experience
