Learning Objectives
After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss:
- The most current hypotheses and data concerning the biology of schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders
- Current treatment approaches to the psychotic component of the illness, as well as the new trials and research addressing the cognitive deficits in schizophrenia.
- To be familiar with breaking developments in brain research that are of relevance to current hypotheses on the etiology and pathophysiology of schizophrenia.
Target Audience
The INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON SCHIZOPHRENIA RESEARCH plays a significant role in advancing the scientific agenda for schizophrenia research. It brings together schizophrenia scientists from around the world to share their science, generate new collaborations, and set standards and concepts for future research. It is an opportunity for academic, government, and industry scientists to interact as colleagues around schizophrenia research. The Clinical Symposium associated with The International Congress will translate the aims of the Congress into clinical practice areas for the practicing clinician.
