2013 Young Investigator Travel Award Criteria and Guidelines

To stimulate research careers in the field of schizophrenia and provide an educational opportunity for young scientists, the Congress will again offer a competition for Young Investigator Travel Awards.  Interested applicants in both basic and clinical areas are encouraged to apply.  The award is intended to attract bright, young scientists to the field of schizophrenia research and to this meeting.  The contribution of young thinkers to scientific inquiry in any discipline is critical.  Of the 123 applicants for the 2011 Young Investigator Travel Award, 34 investigators were selected by the Review Committee as the best of the best.  All were commendable and many were superior.

Award recipients will receive a travel stipend and waived registration fee to attend the Congress. As a Young Investigator applicant, your registration fee will be put on ‘hold’ until determination of the Young Investigator awardees.  If you do not receive the award, you will be asked to make payment of your registration fees.
All applicants will have the opportunity to present their own original research in either a Poster or Oral Session and attend an honorary luncheon.
